A politica-social change for Mexico beings by understanding the Dusselian concept of the Other

Abstract

The central theme of this writing is the philosophical analysis that the philosopher Enrique Dussel makes of the concept of the Other. Mainly from an ethical-philosophical position that does get involved with the situations of exploitation, poverty, marginalization and exclusion of the countries of the global South. For Dussel, today, the role of philosophy must foster a transformative awareness of the dependency and underdevelopment of Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. It is important to emphasize that this theoretical-practical perspective has enormous philosophical relevance, since it is considered to be perhaps one of the most transcendent philosophies, both for Western philosophy and for world philosophy.
