Citizen participation as a means of strengthening democratic life in Mexico

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to make different reflections and considerations regarding citizen participation as the instrument of strengthening democracy that our country lives, in the same order of ideas it is intended to give different opinions or proposals to solve non-participation of citizens, through this medium where the possibility of externalizing the various weak points that I have detected in my experience as electoral supervisor in the past federal process is expressed and exploited. In the first place, the concept of democracy established by the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States will be placed, since it is the fundamental law in our country, in that constitutional paragraph it frames democracy not only as a legal structure or a political regime, but as a system of life; Once the above has been done through the deductive method, the purpose is to enrich knowledge and not be satisfied with the meaning that they have taught us in school, consisting of the so-called "Power of the People".
