Rulfo, Comala and Ayotzinapa

Abstract

There are various dates. There are those that, by allegorical, claim commemoration; There are broken ones, but that, like beautiful water lilies, float in the middle of the swamp, taking root deep in the memory; and also the trifles, who do not even make room. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Juan Rulfo. Writer of few publications, but not of ideas. His books would turn out to be a turning point for Mexican literature; especially the second: Pedro Páramo. This unique novel is one of those works in which the first reading means, in truth, just beginning to read it. There are as many elements to analyze as there are beautiful and meticulously thought out passages.
