Abstract
In the field of ideas there is an immense heritage that belongs to us and that we must rescue. I am referring to the ideas of critical intellectuals, who in other circumstances thought creatively and engaged in political struggles, leaving their reflection and example as a legacy. Recovering them becomes a necessity since neoliberalism, hegemonic also in academia, has displaced and seeks to erase this tradition. Alberto Flores Galindo (1949-1990) is one of us, little known in Mexico, but whose thought and example as an intellectual it is necessary to rescue in these times of civilizational crisis.
