Abstract
This article analyzes the symbolic use of cultural heritage in the political discourse of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (2018-2024) through an approach that combines Pierre Bordieu's theory of symbolic power and Josep Ballart's contributions to the value and discursive construction of heritage. It aims to explain how cultural and archaeological elements were mobilized as tools of political legitimation and the construction of a national identity aligned with the Fourth Transformation project.
