Abstract

The result of research to obtain a master's degree in Sociology, the book offered by Fabio Mascaro Querido shows in a brilliant and convincing way the central aspects of the work and the career of one of the most important thinkers of this century: Michael Löwy . From six thematic axes, the author exposes both the continuities and the discontinuities of the theoretical work of this heretical Marxist (p. 182). Inscribing himself in the tradition of critical thought, Mascaro Querido approaches the work of the Franco-Brazilian thinker as an expression of a renewed and critical Marxism of this really existing modernity.
