Interview with Massimo Modonesi: Battle of ideas in neoliberal Mexico

Abstract

Massimo Modonesi is an intellectual committed to anti-capitalist struggles. Historian, sociologist and Latin Americanist, he specializes in the study of socio-political movements in Latin America and in Marxist concepts and debates. Professor of the FCPyS of UNAM, director of OSAL magazine (2010-2015) and currently director of MEMORIA magazine. Among his books are “Subalternity, antagonism, autonomy. Marxisms and political subjectivation ”and“ The historical crisis of the Mexican socialist left ”. In this interview we talk about the intellectual field and the battle of ideas in neoliberal Mexico.
