Art as a field of struggle and community muralism, interview with Polo Castellanos
Abstract
Polo Castellanos is a renowned visual artist and muralist with more than 30 years of experience, with work in Mexico and abroad. An artist committed to anti-capitalist struggles, he is also a researcher on muralism and public art. Doctor of Arts and Design from the Academia de San Carlos, FAD-UNAM. This interview addresses, among other topics, art as a disputed field and community muralism as a revolutionary proposal to make a mural, socializing it.
