Subjectivity and decoloniality: the weight of the metanarrative in the construction of identities
Abstract
The present work proposes a reflection made possible from the framework of decolonial studies on the way in which we narrate ourselves, the conditions to which this possibility is usually subject and the complex historical and material relationships that are interwoven in the reproduction of these constructions. For this, it is essential to account for the story of the single history, a product of Euro-centrism, as a constitutive element in the reproduction of a homogenizing identity built through a complex articulation of narratives of a hegemonic nature.
