Abstract

This has gained momentum thanks to the current administration led by Xi Jinping who has been characterized by seeking, as well as ensuring, areas of influence using geopolitics, applying ambitious expansionist strategies. The president, after his appointment, affirmed that to make possible the Chinese dream he had to "achieve a rich and powerful country, the revitalization of the nation and the happiness of the people." Words that perfectly summarize the objectives that he intends to achieve since the beginning of his presidential term in 2013 (William, 2014).
