The injury in the city of Puebla, 1870
Abstract
In the years that preceded the porfiriato in the City of Puebla, common crimes were dealt with through a legal method: the oral trial, which had the objective of speeding up resolutions in small cases. Based on documentary evidence and in a context where the actors are far from writing, through external words and gestures, we seek to apprehend legal processes, with the desire to reconstruct the lived emotions of those bodies in motion. The archive reveals them dimly, those who have starred in the confrontations "... remain as individuals without words, rarely write or speak" (Estrada Urroz, 2010, 9). Their defense weapon is found in their own bodies.
