Three de-colonial reflections

Abstract

The decolonization manifests, despite its bad propaganda, a repositioning that definitively establishes its validity in the liberation processes that the indigenous peoples have inaugurated. Like all paradigmatic novelties, it faces not only the immediate rejection adopted by incomprehension, but also a whole accumulated mass of prejudices that feeds the hegemonic vision that is embraced, above all, by the social sciences and which, through academic and mediatic mediation, is transmitted much of society. Every new paradigm expresses serious inevitable ruptures, even more so when it comes to a paradigm that, beyond theory, challenges almost all spheres of knowledge and existence. That is why decolonization is not possible to dispatch, as if it were a fashion, nor is it something of simple epistemic access. The discomfort of its permanence shows the profound actuality manifested by the problems that it illuminates and amplifies. For this reason, it can be pointed out, emphatically and without exaggeration, that: decolonization is the theme that will set the tone for this new century, crossed by the most serious crisis that humanity has ever faced in its entire history.
