The idea of University in History and university models in contemporary Mexico

Abstract

In these lines we make a brief, but precise reflection on the importance and influence that the university models or ideas of some of the most important universities in the world have had, described and discussed by connoisseurs of the institution at different times, within the Mexican universities in contemporary times. For which we allow ourselves to design a typology of university models in our country, recognizing a certain intellectual debt with Tecla Jiménez, a fact that allows us to identify and reflect on some points that identify many of our higher education institutions within the context of the paradigm. neoliberal that still governs us.
