For a genealogy of the category of Liberation in the Philosophy of Enrique Dussel

Abstract

I would like to try a little precision, perhaps merely methodological, on the use of the category Liberation. I consider that this is no less a category, as well as a paradigm that actually concentrates several categories, since it is part of the categorial order, but, at the same time, it is that category around which the others have concentrated and operate. In this way, the notion of Liberation is a broad category that even goes beyond the category scope to rise to the level of a paradigm. Liberation is, for a categorical order, both the assumption of the beginning of the problem, the starting point (in a negative way) and the point of arrival, as well as the moment when a process reaches its end, it is both the limit and the horizon that immediately appears at the moment in which the condition of oppression is discovered and raised, as the moment in which the current concrete categorical order will come to an end.
