Otherness and interculturality for a liberating and decolonial education

Abstract

Education as a liberating practice represents a formidable challenge for Latin American societies that have decided to assume a progressive and independent political project in a decolonial key; It is only through education that citizens can be formed as integral human beings, with humanistic values, with a conscience and sense of belonging to Mother Earth, the great country of our America, its nation, its territory and its immediate geo-historical environment; a full subject, protagonist of his own development, builder of his new reality, because in the words of teacher Freire "Education does not change the world, it changes the people who are going to change the world."
