Abstract

In recent decades, climate change has become the main global environmental problem, which has caused various discursive and territorial transformations in countries such as Colombia. From the study of a case in Eastern Antioquia, the way in which power is exercised is analyzed through the problematization of climate change in environmental discourses. The research uses theoretical reflections from political ecology and a methodology for the analysis of problematizations and discourses that is called the “WPR approach”. It is concluded that overcoming the problem depends on going beyond the “carbon” reductionism into which global / local climate policy has fallen.
