Abstract

The theory of social movements has historically been characterized by the analysis of collective behavior. Showing a broad relationship from social psychology to give explanations of how collective behavior constitutes a construct of social movements. For this case, the analysis of the Student Movement # YoSoy132 is used in the Mexican context in aspects such as identity, contagion, resistance, among others, thus making an approach by way of application of the Smelser model, to mention how it finds some intrinsic characteristics in the dynamics that shaped the student movement; For this case, documentary analysis is used as a methodological approach, seeking to generate possible conclusions on the subject and its relationship with the theory of social movements.
