University dropout? A conceptual reflection on the problem
Abstract
A large number of studies at the general Latin American level (Alcántara, 2007; Beigel, 2013; Esteban, Bernardo, Tuero and Casanova, 2017) as well as from particular countries (Torres, Villalobos and Velandía, 2017; Santos Sharpe, 2016) agree to point out As a great problem around higher and university education, the numerous subjects who, year after year, are not able to continue with their training. This becomes particularly worrying in cases such as Argentina, where a conception of the University understood as a Law governs from the final declaration of the Regional Convention on Higher Education (2008) carried out in Cartagena and to which the country adheres.
